SONYA VINE
“I’ve always been inspired by light and how it can turn simple snapshots of daily life into atmospheric images. I love painting people in places, figures walking through landscapes or long silhouettes on a high street.”

Sonya qualified at Cheltenham College of Art with a 2:1 BA Hons Degree in Fine Art Painting and now lives and works in Haslemere, painting in her attic studio at home.  She has had many solo exhibitions including The Waterloo Gallery, The Muse at 269 and The Apothecary Gallery, also as part of Artists at Home in Chiswick and, more recently, at Surrey Artists’ Open Studios. She was delighted to exhibit at the opening of Avalanche.
